Mentoring

In consultation with the Guidance Department, The Office of Academy Advancement has established a collaborative mentoring program, connecting our Alumnae with current students interested in the career path they have followed.

The Program will begin for students who are in Sophomore year, when they take the Personality Profile/Career Search test, which indicates the career path that they may be best suited for. The Office of Academy Advancement works with the Guidance Dept to pair up Alumnae in each field who have expressed an interest in mentoring a TMLA student.

As part of the Mentoring Program a panel of Alumnae speaks to our students about the career path they followed and what was involved in getting to where they are today. It is followed by a short Q & A session with the students. TMLA's goal is for each Alumnae mentor to remain in touch with their student throughout her remaining years at TMLA and then through college as well.

If you are interested in participating at an upcoming Level meeting, or if you cannot attend but would still like to be a part of the Mentoring Program, please contact the Office of Academy Advancement at 718-297-2120x 286 or at marylouisacademy@aol.com.
